Norstedts was founded in 1823 and is Sweden's oldest publisher. Norstedts publishes both Swedish and foreign fiction, but also non-fiction, reports, history, popular science, biographies and factual books about food, health, exercise, personal development and gardening. The publisher has published almost 30 Nobel laureates.

Norstedts Förlagsgrupp has its premises on the island of Riddarholmen in central Stockholm in a building that was built between 1882 and 1889.
