Noise is a villain who creates stress and illness. There is a variety of ways to decorate a room for reducing the noise level. We at Johanson has for some time been working with sound issues and come far in our development of sound absorbers. Obviously, even the furniture we choose can have a better or worse effect on the overall sound that is created.
With Rib, designed by Alexander Lervik, shows a survey conducted by the Acoustics Workshop in Lidköping that the chair has clear sound absorbing capacity. The sharp filt covering the chair's seat and back helps to keep the noise level in the ear level and contribute positive effects.
- The result of the measurement is pleasing. We have noticed that Rib contributed to a good acoustic environment in which it is placed. Now that we have good test results from an independent part feels great, says Dan and Paul Johanson.
Rib holds in addition to their positive characteristics in absorption even a Nordic Ecolabel and the felt material is made from recycled PET bottles.
